Heart disease, cancer and stroke are top three leading causes of mortality in the state, which amount to more than half of all deaths each year, as reported by Hawaii Department of Health. These policies are the choice of may who want financial protection against unforseen illness or accidents.

Accident Plans
Accidents may happen at anytime -- at work or at home -- and is the leading cause of deaths and injuries among people from birth to age 44. Unlike a standard AD&D plan, Accident Plans provide comprehensive benefits for services such as hospital confinement, burns, surgery for tendon/ligament repair, emergency room, and ambulance. In addition, it pays for a routine physical exam after each anniversary of the policy effective date.
CancerCare
Cancer is the second leading cause of death in Hawaii. Because there are many non-medical expenses associated with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, you may want supplemental coverage. Our CancerCare plans include benefits such as hospital stay, surgery, chemotherapy and transportation. A wellness benefit of $75 per calendar year for diagnostic tests is also included. Optional benefit riders are available for cancer diagnostics, daily coronary care/intensive care, and monthly disability. Visit the American Cancer Society website.
CardiacCare
Cardiovascular diseases, such as heart attack, heart disease, stroke and high blood pressure, are the #1 cause for death for both men and women in the United States, and nearly half of all deaths in the United States are related to cardiovascular disease. Our CardiacCare plan pays for benefits such as hospital confinement, heart transplant, surgical, transportation and electrocardiogram. Optional benefit riders are available for daily coronary care/intensive care. Visit the American Heart Association website.
CriticalCare (Critical Illness)
A comprehensive benefit that offers lump-sum payments paid directly to the policyholder or the beneficiary upon first positive diagnosis of a covered critical illness. Critical illnesses include cancer, heart attack, stroke, end-stage renal failure, major organ transplant, quadriplegia, coronary artery bypass surgery, balloon angioplasty, stent or laser relief obstruction surgery, and carcinoma in situ. Policy face amounts are available in $5,000 increments, up to $100,000.
HealthCare Plus (Hospital Indemnity Plan)
The Hospital Indemnity Plan provides coverage from the first day of a hospital stay as a result of an accident or sickness. Benefits include coronary care/intensive care, accidental death and dismemberment, surgical procedures, and ambulance.
10-Year Term Life
If you're looking for a policy with level premiums until age 60, consider the 10-Year Term Life. It provides level death benefits for 10 years after issue. Beginning the 11th year and each 10-year period thereafter, benefits decrease and remain level for each 10-year period. You have six benefit amounts to choose from, ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. Employees and their spouse who are ages 18 - 64 on their last birthday before issue of a 10-Year Term policy are eligible. Rates are based on your issue age, gender and smoker/non-smoker status. This policy may be continued individually if you terminate your employment.
LifePlan (Universal Life)
The LifePlan (Universal Life) accumulates cash savings plus interest (cash reserves will accumulate tax-deferred) and is a good way to save for future expenses such as a child's education. Depending on your age, premiums are as low as $3 per week.
Voluntary Long-Term Disability
If you become disabled due to an injury or sickness, Temporary Disability Insurance will exhaust in six months. Voluntary Long-Term Disability Insurance allows you to select a benefit amount up to 60 percent of your monthly earnings, up to a maximum of $6,000.
Voluntary Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment
You may select up to $300,000 of term life insurance for you and your spouse at competitive group rates. You also have the option of purchasing $1,000 of term life insurance for your children, ages 15 days to 6 months and $5,000 for children ages 6 months to 23 years. Voluntary AD&D provides 24-hour coverage for accidental loss of life, limbs, sight, speech or hearing. You can choose between the individual or family plan with benefit amounts ranging from $10,000 to $300,000.
Long–term Care
The loss of long–term care is a growing concern to many. If one needs nursing home care or at–home assistance, how will we pay for it? Health plans, Medicare and Medicaid offer limited options. That's why long–term care insurance is the best protection of your hard–earned savings. We can help you plan for the future by customizing a long–term plan to fit your needs.
